Hydrogeophysical characterization of aquifers in Upper Denkyira East and West Districts, Ghana

Abstract Hydrogeophysical assessment of aquifers in the Upper Denkyira East and West Districts Ghana has been carried out for groundwater potential protective capacity overburden rocks determination. The data study were obtained from Regional office Community Water Sanitation Agency (CWSA), Cape Coast. About 21.6%, 62.2%, 2.7% 13.5% showed high, medium, low very groundwater, respectively, higher potentials western south-eastern corner area underlain by Birimian Tarkwaian formations, indicating two formations have similar lowest observed granitic intrusion. aquifer good (5%), (27%), moderate (19%), weak (22%) poor (27%) is overlain mostly different capacities.
