Abstract Hydrogeophysical assessment of aquifers in the Upper Denkyira East and West Districts Ghana has been carried out for groundwater potential protective capacity overburden rocks determination. The data study were obtained from Regional office Community Water Sanitation Agency (CWSA), Cape Coast. A total thirty-seven VES probed using a Schlumberger array with maximum current electrode spacing (AB/2) 100 m at each point Abeam Terameter was used. interpreted partial curve matching WINRESIST computer iteration program techniques. thickness resistivities various layers, basement resistivity, reflection coefficient longitudinal conductance used capability layers. revealed three-to-six layers an average four (4) including laterite (0.34–3.57 m); clay (0.64–8.84 sandy-clay (0.67–27.09 m) slightly-to-highly weathered bedrock which includes phyllites granite (3.09–86.89 that show high level heterogeneity electrical resistivity geologic materials within area. serve as aquiferous zones. About 21.6%, 62.2%, 2.7% 13.5% showed high, medium, low very groundwater, respectively, higher potentials western south-eastern corner area underlain by Birimian Tarkwaian formations, indicating two formations have similar lowest observed granitic intrusion. aquifer good (5%), (27%), moderate (19%), weak (22%) poor (27%) is overlain mostly different capacities. This presents information on evaluation geophysical technique it formation than also confirmed effectiveness techniques ground investigation.
